A diorama of the ordinary, seen in a more unusual way – through the childlike, through the figurative, through the fairy tale. This is a book about the possible future of man in the only sense of which we have been allowed to think of the future. A look at the heroism of the banally human against the recognition that there is nothing heroic in a time, sunk in illusions of false heroism.

THE YEAR THAT BEGAN ON SUNDAY
The Year That Began on Sunday follows a fragmentary composition. Instead of having a single main character, the story revolves around the intricacies of Time. It reveals the lives of three families in a small town, the complex relationships within them and the ones they experience with external forces. Emphasis, despite the lack of a main character, is placed on a 7-year-old child trying to explain the world to adults. The action of the story focuses on the preparations for the 50th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution and the chaos that followed a failed celebration of the event and a missing child.
