NATALIYA DELEVA

Nataliya Deleva (1978) is a Bulgarian-born writer living in London. Her debut novel, Four Minutes, was originally published in Bulgaria (Janet 45 Print and Publishing, 2017), where the book received the most prestigious Bulgarian prize for emerging literature in 2018 and was shortlisted for several other national literary awards. It has since been translated in English (Open Letter Books, 2021), German (eta Verlag, 2018) and Polish (Wydawnictwo EZOP, 2021). Four Minutes is also forthcoming in Spanish by the end of 2026. Deleva’s second novel, Arrival, written originally in English, was published by The Indigo Press, UK (2022), and it has been translated into Bulgarian as Пътна връв (Janet 45 Print and Publishing, 2025). Deleva’s short fiction, non-fiction and critique have appeared in literary journals and anthologies, such as the anthology Stories from the 90s (ICU Publishing, 2019), Words Without Borders, Fence, Psyche, Asymptote, Lunate, Review31 and Granta.
